I know this post is a bit late, but it doesn't diminish the sentiment behind it.
We celebrated Father's Day at mom and dad's house a couple of weeks ago. What a feast! We made kabobs - teriyaki chicken, garlic lime shrimp, and Montreal and olive oil seasoned filet mignon roast, cut into bite sized chunks. We also had grilled veggie kabobs and I tried my hand at making coconut shrimp - a copycat recipe for Outback coconut shrimp. Everything was absolutely delicious! The coconut shrimp was a bit of work and it's not something we'd make every day, that's for certain, but it turned out okay. We had a wonderful pasta salad chock-ful of veggies, and rice pilaf. For dessert, dad requested Beard Papa cream puffs. Mmmmm...they were SO good!
We all had such a fun day getting together to celebrate Dad. We took a few photos to celebrate the day: Me, Dad & DebThe boys and their PapaThe girls (don't you just love Mom's orange linen top? I do! Orange is my favorite color these days - I just can't get enough of it!)The boys and their GrammaHappy Father's Day, Dad. Thank you for all you do for us. We hope you had a fun celebration - we love you!
