R-E-L-A-X-I-N-G
Ahhhh, who doesn't love the 4th of July? It's such a relaxing holiday. It expects nothing of you other than to sit back, relax and enjoy the slower pace of summer. Maybe a little swim. BBQ, of course. Fireworks, natch. And then there's ice cream. Cool, creamy, homemade ice cream. Is that not just the essence of summer?
So, having not been able to pick just one flavor, Kevin and I made three. We finally had our ice cream taste test challenge yesterday up a Mom and Dad's.
The challengers: on the left, weighing in with lots of fresh, juicy, delicious fruit,
FRESH PEACH
Next up, chock-ful of sweet, juicy, red-berry goodness, FRESH STRAWBERRYAnd finally, last but not least, creamy, sweet, velvety VANILLA
First, let me say this: they were all absolutely delicious. If you're in the market for an easy tabletop ice cream maker, you can't beat the Cuisinart. Chill the canister, mix your ingredients, plug it in, press start, and pour the ingredients in from the top. In 20 to 30 short minutes, you will have a delicious, soft-serve style ice cream. You can eat it right then and there, or ripen it in the freezer until you're ready for dessert. I highly recommend it. The ice cream maker, I mean. But that would apply to the finished product as well ;o)
Okay, without further ado, I proclaim .... VANILLA ... the winner and still champeeeeeen. At least until next time!
