Operation: Bucket 'o' Oatmeal

Kevin and I have been on an oatmeal kick recently. We both love it and, while not *terribly* time consuming to make in the morning, it does take a bit of time. The solution came one day when we were talking about making a batch in advance. That went over so well that Kevin decided to do it on an even grander scale; he called it "Operation: Bucket 'o' Oatmeal".

This particular operation yeilded no less than 12 sandwich sized baggies of oatmeal. YUM! Add a little brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped pecans, and some 1% milk. Mmmmm. Now *that's* a good breakfast!

Great idea! Do you freeze the bags and then pull them out as you need them? Details, please. This is much more frugal then instant oatmeal.

You certainly can freeze them - and we have with success. However, because we eat a lot of oatmeal, we typically will put them in baggies and leave them in the fridge. We can easily just grab them in the morning for a hot, healthy breakfast.
